Paneer Butter Masala

A rich, creamy North Indian curry made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) in a buttery tomato gravy.
🛒 Ingredients:

250g paneer (cubed)

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp oil

2 medium onions (finely chopped)

3 tomatoes (pureed)

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

10–12 cashews (soaked in warm water)

1 tsp red chili powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garam masala
-
½ tsp sugar

½ cup fresh cream
-
Salt to taste

Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

Prepare cashew paste: Blend soaked cashews into a smooth paste. Set aside.

Cook onions: Heat butter and oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste: Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add tomato puree: Cook until oil separates from the mixture.

Spices time: Add turmeric, red chili powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

Add cashew paste: Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes.

Add paneer cubes: Mix gently and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

Finish with cream & garam masala: Stir in fresh cream and garam masala. Simmer for 2 minutes.
